VACUUM SHOT BLASTING
Floor preparation such as shot blasting is done so the resin or screed product can be properly bonded to the substrate below. Good floor preparation is the key to a successful screed or coating. This machine will strip off large areas in a short time frame before applying coatings and screeds. There is no dust and so the machine can be used in food production and pharmaceutical areas. The floor preparation process is as follows:
- The shot blasting machine directs steel shot at the floor as it travels along.
- The steel shot abrades the floor and removes a layer of concrete.
- The steel shot and the debris are sucked up back into the machine and are separated with an electro magnet.
- The dust and debris is vacuum sucked down a long hose to a dust collector and the steel shot is sent back down to the firing wheel for re-use.
- The inside of the machine is all at negative pressure so there is no leak of shot or dust.
- The amount, dispersion and speed of steel shot firing can all be controlled so the amount of abrasion can be changed. Hard floors may need more abrasion than soft floors. Heavily coated floors may want a larger steel shot than a plain concrete floor.
- The machine is self-propelled and this can also be altered.
DIAMOND GRINDING
For the diamond grinding floor preparation process hand held diamond grinders are used to remove paint and dirt from any surface to reveal a clean surface
on which coatings and screeds can be applied. They are attached to a vacuum so as to create NO DUST.
Sequence for Shot Blasting and Diamond Grinding Machine
- The shot blasting and diamond grinding machine will be delivered and unloaded.
- The diesel generator will be positioned in a suitable location on site.
- The shot blasting and diamond grinding machine will be moved into position and connected up to the generator
- The area to be shot blasted should be cordoned off from general public access
- The shot blasting and diamond grinding machine will be used to shot blast the area required.
- The client is to provide skips for the use of our operatives.
- The full dust canisters are to be emptied into the provided skips.
HAMMER DRILLING
This equipment will excavate the floor to get down to a sound surface.
DIAMOND CUTTING
This machine will 'saw cut' a floor or wall around the repair to give a 90 degree edge to work to.
Used when repairing expansion joints and is also vacuum supported.
JET WASHING
This will remove moss, dirt & debris from walls or floors.
STEAM CLEANING
This will strip off ingrained dirt from any surface.
