Paccar Parts had a serious concrete dusting problem under the canopy with dust blowing into the building and being taken into the building on the tyres of fork lift trucks. The surface was on a slope and so any treatment had to be slip resistant. The area was only available on a Saturday afternoon and had to be back in service by Sunday morning. The area was 3100m2.
Maintenance Supplies Contracts vacuum shot blasted the surface and applied a UV stable water based epoxy resin, Grip-Seal WB, incorporating and anti-slip aggregate. The system took 6 hours to install and the area was back in service the following day. We carried out slip testing with a British Standard Pendulum Testing Meter and provided the customer with the report showing the safety standard of the floor.
