All the usual types of epoxy resin and polyurethane resin line marking systems took between 18 and 24 hours to cure. The client simply couldn’t do without the floor area for that amount of time. The only resin that had worked in the time was a Methyl Methacrylate (MMA)which caused fumes that would taint the food stored there so that was a ‘no-go’. They are powered by gas generators which are also safe. Best of all, they use a 1mm thick yellow and white resin which cures down to zero degrees in 6 hours resulting in minimal downtime. MSC has an exclusivity deal on this resin from the supplier based abroad but in Europe. There are no fumes from the resin that may taint food and MSC has installed thousands of linear meters lines & numbers for Argos, Iceland and Waitrose so far.
