A quick pump screed solution

Rapid pumped screed is a really useful way of laying a new floor. The screed can be pumped directly onto the base to cover large areas quickly, it also dries fast, minimising downtime for your business.

Is a rapid floor screed right for you?

Industrial pumped screeds are a great option for resurfacing and repairing old or damaged industrial flooring. The screed is very strong and also quick to lay, therefore the amount of downtime for businesses is kept to a minimum. If a surface needs levelling, screed can provide this from 2mm to 50mm thick. It can be a wearing surface or can be topped by a resin coating for a hygienic and attractive floor surface.

Not to be confused with concrete screed, industrial screed is up to twice as strong and dust free. There are a range cases where screed would be a great fit, from light commercial settings to level out surfaces under carpeting, to heavy duty industrial settings where heavy machinery and forklifts are operated.

Pump screed sets in under 2 hours, if you choose a heavier duty option you can drive a forklift on it in 4 hours.

How it works

Rapid pump screed is laid using a screed pump, enabling a fast installation of flooring, especially over large areas. The material itself is made by combining a fine powder with a thin liquid. The liquid (screed) is measured until the thickness and consistency of the overall screed is perfect for installation.

The pumping of the screed allows it to spread across surfaces and level itself out to some extent. This means that it is perfect for laying on uneven substrates as it can help level the surface. Once it has been pumped, the screed self-smooths across the floor and a spiked roller is used to remove any air bubbles. Maintenance Contracts use screws and a laser line so that our team of professional screeders can level the surface to within 1-2mm.

Following the application, the flooring can be topped with an epoxy coating or polished to increase the aesthetic appeal of your flooring, or you can get straight back to work to minimise business disruption.

For most jobs we use Weber screed, which we have found to be the best. It performs consistently and always sets properly, so you don’t risk unexpected delays.
