Why do garages need specialist flooring?
Garages and car workshops are some of the most brutal environments for your flooring. It needs to have a high degree of chemical resistance, be able to handle heavy traffic and machinery, and be hard to damage to avoid chipping and flaking. Having a bare concrete floor is not ideal as when exposed to industrial grade oils and chemicals it can absorb them, leaving permanent markings and an unsafe environment.
Even in automotive showrooms, your flooring needs to be non-absorbent. Car tyres, when left standing can bleed chemicals into the flooring leaving grubby marks, which are not ideal for showcasing the best your showroom has to offer for your customers.
As resin flooring offers a heavy duty, non-absorbent, customisable finish, it is much more suitable for garage floors than concrete floors or floor tiles.
